West Point Town Board: transmission-line resolution on the agenda (Columbia County)
A transmission-line resolution is on the agenda. The Town Board of the Town of West Point, in Columbia County, holds its regular monthly meeting Thursday, August 13 at 7:00 pm. Item 17 on the posted agenda is “Resolution Regarding Proposed Large Transmission Lines.” Columbia County is one of the nine counties inside the study area the developer of the proposed BECI 765 kV project has published; residents here can also weigh in at the developer’s Columbia County open house on August 25 in Poynette.
Attend in person or by Zoom. The meeting is at the West Point Town Hall and, as a courtesy, via Zoom; the town suggests attending in person to guarantee full participation. The Zoom link, dial-in number (+1 312 626 6799, meeting ID 882 7530 4290, password 142952) and the full agenda are on the town’s agendas page.
If you want to speak. Per the agenda, citizen input on an agenda topic is taken during that item, and the board may limit speaking time. Item 17 sits in the middle of a long agenda, so plan to stay a while.

Date, time, location and agenda item as posted on the Town of West Point’s public agenda dated August 10, 2026 (townofwestpoint.us, checked August 11). This is the town’s meeting, not a No 765 Line event; confirm details on the town’s site before attending.
